                                                                              Welcome to Southside Fellowship!

This Fall our worship series is entitled:                     WE THE PEOPLE AND OUR BOOK .

THE Goal for the series is the following:   It is hoped that we can come through the series reflecting deeply on our relationship to the Bible. Through this reflection may we have greater intentionality with Scripture and a richer relationship with the Bible.

We begin with the Introduction to Theme: Can we live with this Book? on September 20.   On September 27 we will continue with the theme  Science and Religion:  Do they Mix?  which will include
issues of literalism and myth: are they both dead?    October 11 we will focus on Atonement: Is it a Bloody Mess?  October 18 will cover the theme Exclusion or Embrace: Is Jesus the only way?  October 25 will cover the theme Homosexuality: What do we do when experience and text do not mix?  and November 1: All Saint's Day.

November 8 we will be having a special art-worship service based on the art work of Valarie Millard-Combs.  Sixteen paintings by Valarie will be displayed telling the story of her grief following the deaths of three sons.  The title of this art-worship service, A Savage Grace, speaks to the terror and hope interwoven in Valarie's story of grief. Open viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the AMBS Lambright Center.  At 10 a.m. we will gather to sing, share in corporate worship, and hear reflections from Valarie.  Valarie's paintings will also be on display in the AMBS Library gallery November 9-13.  Hours: Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.

Please feel free to call or email our church office if you have any questions or concerns.
May God Bless you.
