Welcome to Our Church!

This virtual presence on the web was provided for us by Mennonite.net in hopes that you'll join us for worship in the near future.

During the summer of 2009 Southside Fellowship will be meeting in Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminaries (AMBS) Lambright Center. Our Southside summer worship theme is "Psalms and Singing."  June 7- July 5 our worship will begin at 9:30 a.m.  July 19-August 30 we will have evensong services which will begin at 6:00 p.m.  July 12 we will gather at 9:30 a.m. in Oxbow Park for worship and a picnic.   During the summer there will be no Adult Education or Children's Sunday School.  On September 6 our regular worship services will resume in the AMBS chapel at 9:30 a.m.  Adult Education and Children's Sunday School will immediately follow the service.

Special Events this summer:
1) Ron Gingerich, pastor at Silverwood Mennonite, who has done scholarly work on the Psalms, will be preaching June 7 at Southside Fellowship while our pastor, David Moser, preaches at Silverwood Mennonite.

2) On June 14th, Jaime and JD Hollis will be at Southside Fellowship with their friend, Micha Chacour, nephew of Archbishop Elias Chacour.  Micha will be sharing about his work at Mar Elias Educational Institute in Galilee during a potluck following the church service.  The public has been invited to attend.

3) July 26 our worship service will be taking the form of an Art show depicting artwork of lament and grief.  The show will start at 6:00 p.m. in the AMBS Lambright Center and is open to the public.

4) Up-coming Communion celebrations will be on May 31, July 19, September 27, November 22, December 20 & December 27.

This past Spring Pastor David was selected along with 19 other pastors from across the country to participate in Wake Forest University Divinity School 's Pastor Renewal program called "Holy Land Pilgrimmage."  We were glad he could participate in this trip to Israel-Palestine and have been enriched by the experiences he has shared with us from his time there.
