Released from exhausted failure to thrive and be free

GATHERING
Prelude
Call to Worship
                  Leader: Merciful God, you patiently await the season when your people will bear fruit. You look for signs of freedom breaking forth in the world through us. And what are the signs of the fruit of your kingdom?
                  People: The fruit you seek releases the weak into new strength, And the bent to stand straight.
                  All:      We see freedom coming, and we rejoice at the wonderful things God is doing.

Prayer:
                  Leader: Holy and compassionate One,
                           We approach you in humility and hope.
                           We are humbled by our weakness and our vain efforts to heal ourselves. We are hopeful knowing you are merciful and long to set us free. We are weak Release us from bondage into new strength. We are bent - Touch us and restore us to stand erect.
                 
People: We await your Word in the hope of being released and healed.
